My Goals With the Glow Up Gospel

My Goals with Glow Up Gospel

This week, I’m redoing some of my old clips, so I thought I’d take a different approach with this blog. Instead of focusing on a specific theological or apologetic topic, I want to share my goals for this ministry and how I pray God uses Glow Up Gospel — the ministry He’s placed on my heart.

The most important thing to understand is that this is the ministry I genuinely feel God has led me to start. I’m still young and at the beginning of my journey in both ministry and theological education. But I want to take the first steps — to learn, to grow, and to help others learn alongside me. My desire is to be a voice for Christ in the “amateur intellectual” space, where faith and reason meet.

What I’m Doing with Glow Up Gospel

Shorts, Reels, and TikToks

I began by creating short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok. At first, I used AI-generated videos based on my scripts, but I quickly realized that style didn’t feel authentic or personal. Eventually, I transitioned to using clips with my own reactions and commentary. This format allows me to address misconceptions, teach biblical truth, and engage viewers in a way that captures attention while pointing them toward Christ.

Creating short videos is challenging — I’m often trying to explain deep or complex topics in just 45 seconds while also keeping viewers engaged during their endless scrolling. To stay consistent and focused, I follow a two-week content cycle:

  • Monday: Faith-focused topic

  • Thursday: Apologetics

  • Saturday: Bible or Christian facts / fact-checks

  • Monday: Scripture exposition

  • Thursday: Theology

  • Saturday: Christian lifestyle topic

  • Repeat

Podcast

Next came the Glow Up Gospel Podcast. My goal for the podcast is to create space for deeper conversations — to discuss theology, apologetics, and faith in a more relaxed, thoughtful way. While my short videos are meant to grab attention and spark curiosity, the podcast lets me go deeper into those same topics, often with guests to bring new perspectives.

My aim is to release new episodes on the first and third Monday of each month, typically in two-part series lasting 20–45 minutes. I also post a short preview clip the Friday before each release. While I try to have a guest on every episode, scheduling and availability don’t always make that possible. Still, I hope the podcast continues to grow as a place where honest, Christ-centered conversations can thrive.

Blog

Finally, there’s this blog — a space for me to write weekly reflections and teachings. Each post offers a brief explanation or defense of a topic and points readers to more in-depth (often scholarly) resources. Writing these posts helps me grow as a communicator and prepares me for potential future ministry opportunities — whether that’s sermon writing, Bible study lessons, or maybe even a book someday.

This blog also allows me to go more in-depth on topics from my short videos without the time and format limitations of social media.

Why I Started Glow Up Gospel

There were several reasons I felt led to start Glow Up Gospel.
First, I’ve always had a passion for apologetics and theology. I wanted to begin sharing what I was learning — to exercise my “ministry muscles” early on and grow in confidence and clarity as I serve Christ.

But there’s also a personal side to this story. God used a difficult season of my life — one marked by sin, suffering, and pain — to realign my focus on Him. I believe He gave me Glow Up Gospel as both a calling and a healing process. Through it, He reminded me of His purpose for me and reignited my desire to serve His Kingdom.

Ultimately, I started this ministry because I genuinely believe God led me to do it. I don’t yet know what He has in store — whether this ministry will grow into something bigger or remain a personal mission field — but I’m excited to see how He uses it to build His Kingdom and transform my own life in the process.

My Prayer for Glow Up Gospel

One of the biggest lessons I’m learning through this journey is the importance of prayer — not just for others, but for the ministry itself. I don’t always remember to pray before every project or video, but I’m working on that. So as I write this, I want to share my prayer for Glow Up Gospel, and I invite you to join me in praying these same things.

I pray that:

  • God uses Glow Up Gospel for His will, His Kingdom, and His glory.

  • My focus remains on planting seeds — not just winning arguments or seeking conversions — and that God will bring the growth in His timing.

  • I celebrate every small victory as a win for God’s Kingdom.

  • I speak what God wants me to say, not what I want to say.

  • All glory and attention go to Him, not me — that this remains His ministry, not mine.

  • I don’t get distracted by the wrong priorities or metrics.

  • I live out what I teach — staying prayerful, humble, and Christlike.

I pray all this in Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

  • Proverbs 16:3 – “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”
